We know that support means more than just money, it includes attention, guidance and love. We’re thankful for those parents doing their part. For parents who may be behind in child support payments and facing license suspension, we offer an amnesty program in August to get you back on track.
The Department’s Child Support Enforcement Agency handles about 78,000 cases each month involving more than 234,000 county residents. Last year, it collected $128 million for families that might not otherwise have had the financial support necessary to pay for such items as food, medical care, child care, school clothes and school supplies.
