Two new websites are available to provide staff and clients with additional information about available services.

Our offices will be closing at noon on Friday, Dec. 23. They will remain closed on Monday, Dec. 26. We will reopen regular hours on Tuesday, Dec. 27.

We will also be closed on Monday, Jan. 2.

Hamilton County foster children will receive a wonderful Christmas present this year when more than 180 donated bikes arrive Friday from a Franklin County woman known widely as the “Bike Lady.”

It’s such an inspiring time of the year here at HCJFS – we are always overwhelmed by the kindness of those who help us take care of kids in foster care.

We asked for help to provide a nice Christmas for our kids. And boy, did people respond.

I could never thank all of the people who help us during the holidays and throughout the rest of the year. Please know that what you do for our children always results in smiles and a little bit of normalcy and hope in what are often turbulent times in a child’s life.

First Financial Bank Regional Manager Art Hammond and VP Jennifer Mott stopped by HCJFS on Friday, Dec. 2, to donate gifts and a check for more than 50 gift cards to HCJFS Chief Communications Officer Brian Gregg. The gifts will be given to foster children during our annual holiday party.

This year, Georgia Frakes donated 25 dolls to Hamilton County Job & Family Services. “It’s important for kids to get dolls that look like them,” she said.

This Thanksgiving, Cincinnatians from all walks of life will unite to experience the power of community at the 11th annual Fall Feast celebration. Guests will be served free meals, get free haircuts, receive free health checkups, coats, books and more on November 24, Thanksgiving Day, at the Duke Energy Convention Center. The entire community is invited to attend.
