Workshops for Finding Employment with a Criminal Record

Talbert House, OMJ Cincinnati-Hamilton County and Talbert House are offering workshops, starting Feb. 14 to help people with criminal records find work.

The workshops will be held at the North Central Library Branch from noon to 2 p.m. on Fridays and at the Mt. Healthy Library from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays.

We Need Foster Parents

We currently have more than 1,100 children in certified foster care. This might be the highest number in JFS history, certainly within the past 20 years.

On any given day, we have more than 2,100 children in custody. In addition to the 1,100 children in certified foster homes, the remaining 1,000 are children living with relatives or family friends, teenagers living on their own and preparing for life after foster care, or children living in residential centers, group homes or medical facilities.

Ohioans can now register to vote online

As authorized by Substitute Senate Bill 63, the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office now offers Ohioans the ability to register to vote online. The Secretary of State’s Online Voter Registration (OLVR) system allows an applicant to securely and efficiently submit a voter registration application online to the Secretary of State’s Office.
